Adventure meets precision
Ready for action – with the Atacama Quarz UTC
The new Atacama Quarz UTC builds upon the great success of our Atacama.2, a functional and technical tool watch that has been proving its mettle for years among members of the police, fire department, and military, as well as sporty watch fans for its performance during outdoor adventures.
Unlike the Atacama.2, the new Quarz UTC is made with a second time zone – a feature much appreciated by emergency forces. And thanks to its much thinner quartz movement, the height of the Quarz UTC's case could be reduced to just 10.5 millimeters.
Optimal performance in every situation
The Atacama Quarz UTC was designed for extreme and outdoor situations requiring maximum safety, resilience and precision.
In particular, it was made to provide the greatest possible functionality and usability.
Outstanding readability – both day and night
The elements on the dial of the Atacama Quarz UTC are covered with a thick layer of the luminous material Superluminova, making the watch a reliable companion at night and in poor lighting conditions.
The hands are done in two colors – hour and second in Superluminova C3, minute in orange – to make it easy to tell the time from any angle. The UTC hand is designed with a skeletonized arrowhead.
"Flexible lugs, a height of just 10.5 mm and a conical case to sit comfortably on any wrist."
Functionality is paramount
The robust stainless steel case is equipped with a black PVD coating to eliminate unwanted reflections. The same goes for the crown positioned at twelve o'clock and the unidirectional rotating countdown bezel.
Quartz movement with recognizable benefits
A Swiss Ronda 515.24H quartz movement ticks behind the screwed case back. This movement is not only incredibly precise (only a few seconds off per month), but also wows with its GMT function with a quick-set date feature. In addition, a date window can be found at the six-o'clock position.
Resistant 20 ATM stainless steel case
At the twelve-o'clock position, a sturdy and high-density crown ensures the waterproofness. An orange ring under the crown indicates – at a quick glance – whether or not the crown is screwed in all the way.
